A complete, turnkey refresh of one room in your home: new floors, fresh walls, clean trim, paint, blinds, and lighting, done in one week or less. You pick the products. I handle everything else.
That covers labor, materials up to standard allowances, and a finished room you'll be proud to show off.
Larger rooms get a case-by-case quote.
Ceilings above 10 feet carry an upcharge. More wall surface means more material and more time.
LVP, LVT, rigid-core laminate, or engineered hardwood with a click-lock profile. The material allowance covers up to $2.75 per square foot. You cover anything above that, and I'll help you shop it. I know what's worth the money and what isn't.
Patch, prep, and paint: two coats, clean lines, done right. Trim, baseboards, window casings, and the room side of the door are all included.
Quarter round comes standard, installed right over your existing baseboards. Want to keep your original baseboards without quarter round, or go with full replacement instead? Both are available as upgrades.
One electrical fixture replaced. Pick anything up to $200 and I'll purchase and install it. Want something pricier? You just cover the difference above $200.
Available at cost if you want them. I'll source, supply, and install.
These apply only if your room needs them, not a preference you're picking. If your walls don't need it, you won't see it on your quote.
| Charge | Notes |
|---|---|
| Skim coat | $1 per sq ft |
| Wallpaper removal / wall resurfacing | $2 per sq ft |
These are your choice, upgrade any of them or none at all.
| Upgrade | Notes |
|---|---|
| Keep original baseboards | Skips quarter round. I remove and reset your existing trim. $3 per linear ft. |
| Full baseboard replacement | All new baseboards throughout. $3 per linear ft, plus the cost of the new baseboard material. |
| Premium flooring | You cover anything above $2.75 per sq ft |
| Premium fixture | You cover anything above $200 |
| Additional rooms | Each room gets its own quote |
Every upgrade gets discussed and agreed on before work starts. No surprises.
Standard turnaround: one week or less. Upgrades that add scope extend the timeline, and I'll tell you upfront by how much.
Most people don't need a full renovation. They need one room that actually feels finished: fresh floors, clean walls, new light, real trim. The kind of room you stop apologizing for when guests come over.

This tree was cut down a few years ago — growing too large for the homeowner to enjoy their front yard. A few years later, I returned to turn the stump into a planter, making it beautiful once again.

Hello, my name is Carter Krick. I'm a Lancaster native with a passion for home repair and helping people — a welder by trade, handyman by choice, with a dream of making the homes of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties a bit more beautiful.
I was 12 years old when I completed my first home repair project — replacing a toilet nearly the size of myself at the time, without help. I struggled, I complained, but eventually figured it out. Got it to seal, sit firm, and after what felt like forever, was able to say my work was done.
My working career began on a produce farm near my house in high school before I went on to play PSAC baseball at the then-named California University of Pennsylvania (now Pennwest University). After four years and graduating, I moved to Chicago and spent time in real estate — learning property management, flipping, maintenance, and most importantly, ways to improve a property without always needing a massive remodel.
After Chicago, I moved back home to do what I've always dreamt of — working on and improving homes. I started with repairs on my parents' home as they prepared to move, including replacing their traditional fireplace with an electric one (you can see that on the Projects page). I then found my own property to begin remodeling — and you can see some of that work there too.
Now, in May of 2026, I am officially launching CK's Handyman Services Ltd. — excited to serve the people of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.
