Hello, my name is Carter Krick. I'm a Lancaster native, a welder by trade, and a handyman by choice. These days I focus on painting, flooring installation, plumbing, and electrical fixtures for homes across Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.
I was 12 years old when I completed my first home repair project — replacing a toilet nearly the size of myself at the time, without help. I struggled, I complained, but eventually figured it out. Got it to seal, sit firm, and after what felt like forever, was able to say my work was done.
That same stubbornness carried into a three-year stretch on Home Depot's traveling display reset team, installing the plumbing and electrical displays in every store across Lancaster County and Harrisburg. If you've walked through a Home Depot in the area and seen a faucet or light fixture display still working the way it should, there's a good chance I put it there. Three years across every store meant handling fixtures from every major manufacturer, and I picked up the tricks that make an installation hold up instead of coming loose in six months.
I've completed dozens of home painting projects, enough to know the real work happens before the paint can opens — prep is what makes a job hold up. About half of those projects included new flooring too. On the ones that didn't, I made sure to protect what was already there.
Before any of this became a business, I spent years on the real estate and property management side of the table. At Networth Realty, the largest real estate investor in the country, I worked as a licensed agent submitting offers and building a network of investors for the properties I sourced. From there I moved to Hales Property Management, where I handled resident complaints, scheduled contractors, and managed maintenance — including intercom and buzzer systems — across more than 125 condo associations.
That job taught me what owners deal with when something breaks and they aren't the ones fixing it. Contractors showed up late, or left to grab materials without telling anyone, or fixed one problem and created another — a patched wall with no one left to paint it, a stopped leak with a hole still in the ceiling. Reaching them at all was sometimes the hardest part. It's part of why I now offer scheduled inspections for Airbnb and short-term rental owners who aren't local. Painting, flooring, plumbing, and electrical fixtures are still the core of what I do, but for owners who can't check on their property themselves, I'm also a trusted set of eyes on the ground.
Now, in May of 2026, I officially launched CK's Handyman Services Ltd. to bring all of this to the people of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.
